White Nudes Photographic Series
White Nudes
Porcelain figures centered on a cool gray background symmetrically placed with negative space helping to define the composition. Beginning with a single figure in postures at times protective and other times open, with a sense of eroticism. A second figure comes into the series interacting with the first, paralleling it, then progressing to postures that become suggestive, subtle and erotic. The figures are high key in order to remove the flesh feeling and direct the concentration to the posture. Simple background so not to distract from this simplicity.
This series was photographed with film which was then scanned. All darkroom work was done in Photoshop and the prints where made with an archival pigment ink set of seven shades of gray, including black, and printed on Hahnemuhle paper.
